Crystal Clear Tax Solutions Inc is a small family owned local business. We are looking to add a new team members to our staff. The positions are part time and seasonal, with some opportunities for off season hours. We will start training a receptionist in October and a tax pro in January with minimal hours until tax season starts on January 6th. We offer our employees SIMPLE IRA plans with company match and Profit Sharing for tax pros after completing 1 full tax season with us. There is NO REMOTE WORK. Please see the job descriptions below. SEASONAL TAX PREPARER (Part Time)

​

Job Duties/Description: This is an entry-level position and is a great opportunity to grow your skills. Most of our clients have moderately complex to very complex tax returns, including many small businesses, rentals, and farms. Depending on your experience, you will be assigned drop-off tax returns to prepare and provide support services to the other tax pro's. You will be closely supervised and work along side skilled and experienced preparers who are supportive and have the heart of a teacher. Our clients are very important to us and we pride ourselves on providing top notch service. We offer drop off service, virtual tax prep, and traditional in-person services.

 

You will:

  • Work with clients and staff to timely prepare accurate tax returns and provide tax planning services.

  • Tax returns are prepared in Drake Tax; experience is a bonus, training will be provided.

  • Use software to manage all aspects of client interaction including status of tax return, messages, emails, phone calls, etc.

  • Work with clients over the phone, and virtually (and eventually in person).

Requirements:

  • An active Oregon Tax Preparer or Tax Consultant license is required.

  • Intention of long-term work relationship - we want a tax pro who wants to come back every tax season and work some extension season hours.

  • Willingness to learn our systems and procedures and adapt to how our company does business.

  • Have a positive attitude.

Schedule: This position will start in January about 3 days per week until the end of May.

  • January through May scheduled hours will be between 9am and 7pm Wednesdays, Thursdays and some Saturdays.

  • Sunday to Tuesday off.

  • This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to work part time hours and have the summer and fall off.

  • If you are more experienced and want to work more hours, we can accommodate you. As you learn and grow this can work into a full time position during tax season and offer hours continuing into October for extension season.

  • Maximum flexibility. So long as your tax returns are being completed timely, we can work around scheduling needs.

You will work alongside the Resident Consultant and other staff on drop-off/virtual tax returns. You will also spend part of your week shadowing seasoned tax professionals - learning best practices and tips. The position is seasonal, and we are looking for candidates who would like to return year after year, becoming part of our little family here in Sandy.

​

Compensation: Our tax pro's average well over $30/hour after their first year.

  • Hourly pay starting at $17.50. Increased amounts for LTC and Enrolled Agents.

  • Annual wage increases.

  • Opportunity for Profit Share starting second tax season.

  • Eligible for annual tax season bonus starting 2nd tax season.

  • Company paid professional membership, PTIN and OBTP license reimbursement.

  • Reimbursement for continuing education (including travel).

  • Update courses provided: 6 hours federal update, 2 hours state update, plus 2 hours local update annually.

  • SIMPLE IRA match at up to 3% after completing 1st year.

SEASONAL RECEPTIONIST (Part Time)

​

Job Duties/Description: This is an entry-level position and is a great opportunity to grow your skills of working in an office. Most of our clients are local individuals and businesses, giving us an opportunity to connect with our community. Our clients are very important to us, and we pride ourselves on providing top-notch service. We offer tax preparation, tax planning, and tax resolutions services along with bookkeeping, payroll and business consulting.

You will: 

  • Manage 2 phone lines fielding phone calls, taking messages and returning calls.

  • Work with multiple tax professionals, managing their schedules and assisting as necessary (no tax preparation at all – think scanning documents, making appointments, etc.).

  • Use software to manage all aspects of client interaction including status of tax return, messages, emails, phone calls, etc.

  • Work with clients over the phone, in person and virtually.

  • Sorting, filing, and managing paperwork (much of which is digital) according to office policy and procedure.

  • Keep the office in order: light cleaning, make coffee, equipment maintenance.

  • Clean and stock tax offices with supplies as needed.

  • Process client payments including cash handling

  • Closing the office: locking up, empty trash, stock printers, make sure end-of-day tasks are complete.

Requirements:

  • Must be 18+ years old.

  • Intention of long-term work relationship - we are looking for someone who wants to come back every tax season and work seasonally.  

  • Willingness to learn our systems and procedures and adapt to how our company does business.

  • Have a positive attitude.

  • Have familiarity with email, Word, Excel and Adobe

  • Great Internet/Computer skills.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

Schedule: This position will officially start on January 6, 2026 and end May 1, 2026. Training hours will begin in October and go through November 20, 2025.

  • October and November training hours will vary and be minimal between 10am and 3pm Tuesday to Thursday – though will not likely include all these days/times.

  • January through May scheduled hours will be 1:30pm to 7:30pm Tuesday through Saturday.

  • Sundays and Mondays off.

  • This is a great opportunity for anyone who wants to work part time hours and have the summer and fall off.

  • Flexibility. Days off can generally be accommodated, and there is opportunity to trade shifts with another staff member in your department on occasion.

You will work alongside the Office Manager in the beginning as you learn our software and our processes. The tax pros and other staff will be available to assist you while you get acclimated. The position is seasonal, and we are looking for candidates who would like to return year after year, becoming part of our little family here in Sandy.

​

Compensation:

  • Hourly pay starting at $16.50.

  • Annual wage increases.

  • Eligible for annual tax season bonus after 1st year.

  • SIMPLE IRA match up to 3% after 1st year.
